It sure has funny moments, but my thoughts are clouded by the idea that they all would have die if Rentarou haven't accepted them as his lovers. Yeah I know he say that it doesn't really matter anymore. But it is on my mind how they would all die if not for Rentarou.

I still have a lot of resentment towards Shueisha for everything it has done over the years (that wound with Mx0 and Double Arts still doesn't want to heal), and currently that's my dream, to see that publisher burn in hell.

Glad to see others remembering Mx0. I love that manga, it's sad how it ends when "the best part" should have started. But what it's there is great tho, If someone reads this I do recommend to read it even if it has an "open ending"...

There's a big difference between Iruma-kun and Mx0. The main story of Iruma reminds me of Hayate no Gotoku, because in both cases, the parents are an absolute scum, the worst kind of human in existence. While Iruma had a lot of "luck" at the start of the story, Taiga had it very hard as a character who couldn't use magic, he had to use his wits and his limitation in magic to win fights, that's what made Mx0 so special.

On one side, there is that, yes, but on the other, he’s keeping something hidden from them on purpose. Wouldn’t you say it would be better writing if the girlfriends decided to stick with Rentarou DESPITE knowing the truth?

Because whether we like it or not, the truth is that their situation was sprung forth by God. They MIGHT have fell in love with Rentarou without God. But they definitely wouldn’t have MET Rentarou without him, and that’s a fact.

I think it’s important that the biggest plot point of this series at least gets addressed by the end.

Especially when you think about girlfriends like Mai and Suu. These two DEFINITELY were supposed to fall in love exclusively with Mei and numbers respectfully, so it would be interesting to have their reaction. Suu’s in particular, as she is the cold girl of this family.

There’s also Hahari and Yaku who already had lovers. The luck needed to find a second kindred soul can only be God’s doing, considering how it’s explained. So they supposedly were directly affected by god’s blunder, which is major.

And I reckon more cases like these are to come, hence my point.

Not necessarily. This was the scenario for if they're alone, but if Rentarou died for real they'd hardly be alone now, and there's obviously a whole lot of love to go around even without him. He's not a single central point holding everyone together, just one common point among many other connections. Honestly at this point Hahari feels more central, her money is the bedrock underlying this whole cult family.
