Despite the focus on smell fetish and how Rentarou himself question her detective skill, i believe there are signs that Hasu do in fact have what it takes to become a great detective:

-While mostly relying on her sniffing, she does quick to understand the clues she got from what she sniffs,
-She does have enough logical thinking to deduce that's its makes more sense for a boy with 31 girlfriends to just ask any one of them for panties instead of taking one from a random girl.

And thus, i'm now waiting patiently for a legit detective mystery-solving chapter ala Conan or Kindaichi with Hasu.

Maybe a crime with no smell involved, and then Hasu kinda panicked about it until Rentarou reasonably deduce and guide her

Yeah, I think the worry about Tama not getting along with Hasuha is unwarranted; she's been just fine with the Hanazono dog(s — Alus and Mei both), and helped coach Rentarou into doghood in the recent chapter about Chiyo's puppy.

(I think the girlfriends that we know have pets currently are the Hanazonos with Butch and Alus, Chiyo's puppy Wantarou, and Karane's tsundere hamster. I don't think Yamame's butterflies and squirrel count as pets, they're just friends — but d'you suppose anybody else has pets that just haven't come up yet?)
