I'm not reading this, just laughing at the premise. For the record, ladies, there's no way in hell any dude is ever gonna be able to find you or even bother trying. Unless, of course, the difference is somewhere more intimate... Then yeah, we'll look real hard! Twice, just to make sure. I'm with the Emperor though - "Close enough is good enough." Women who do these shit-tests belong in the streets.

I went and read the first chapter elsewhere just in case, and yeah, it's worse than I thought. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and assume there's a proper explanation down the line, but like you said, a lot of shoujo/josei manwha have this kind of nonsense. The stuff I read has other kinds of nonsense, sure, but not this. That's what the target demographics want.
Maybe you can explain the appeal since you seem to like it. Maybe you can also explain why the empress is a damn lunatic who pulls a reverse Odyssey situation on her beloved. There's not a lot of readers for this on the 'dex, so you could help its popularity by defending it from my vicious criticism and late-night rants.

Following me around now, are we? You better stick to yourself and hit that "ignore" button, because I guarantee you'll be seeing a lot of things you don't like. But go ahead, slap meaningless ad hominems on me. You still haven't made a valid argument in favor of this manwha - you should, it could help its readership increase.

You: "Oh look I don't like this one specific scenario which was started by a woman"
Them: "Blasphemy! Enemy of all women! Women hater!".
On the point of the story, then don't marry him? Or is it you also don't love him enough to carry his child and want quits but you want to blame him for it? Anyways haven't read it yet do idk.
The argument here is stupid because it's not as if Desa is framed as a "good person" for starting the test in the first place, the story literally depicts Heartwan (the Emperor) breaking down in front of Arit (the MC) because of the stress this test is causing him. There's even actual reasoning given to why they act the way they do. First few chapters in and it literally tells you that witches (the race both the MC and Desa are) are immortal and unkillable, hence, they cannot sympathize with humans the same way we cannot sympathize with ants (because they live 10x shorter lives and die easily), so becoming a human means giving all of that up.
Arit (the MC) starts off wondering why Desa is doing this "shit-test" in the first place, because she herself also thinks it's dumb and that Desa should treat this entire shtick with Heartwan (the Emperor) as some sort of temporary dream. The story makes it so that we, while looking through Arit's eyes, figure out what Desa's reasoning is (spoilers:
she does not trust Heartwan (the Emperor) because to her, he is nothing more than a shiny trinket she is very fond of, as the only people she sees as equal to her and hence, those she should actually care about the decisions of is Arit and the other witches
).
It does not justify why she did it, and even the characters in the story are outright scared of her (spoilers:
Carl (the head of knights and also the ML) is terrified that letting Anya (his sister and also Arit's friend) be Arit's friend under the assumption that Arit is Desa would cause Arit to realize Anya's feelings towards Heartwan, and result in Arit murdering Anya because Carl has seen Desa literally wipe off an entire territory within the night, including the innocents, because the lord of that territory wanted Heartwan to marry his sister in as a second wife/consort/concubine, which pissed her off
)
, because she has shown generally zero compassion towards humans and does not even seem to care for
the well-being of Heartwan, even though she literally built the empire for him and resurrected him in the first place
.
It's so bad, it's even got Arit and the readers trying to figure out if there's something deeper going on because there's no way she doesn't trust her man even though she literally founded a whole empire for him, right?
It even delves deep into why Heartwan acts the way he does, why he agreed to the bet in the first place and even how he feels about the entire thing. Hell, I would even argue that the whole point of the story is against anyone doing any sort of "trust-test" with the people they care about because Carl literally tells Arit, word for word, to just be "honest to Anya and she'll understand" and that immediately resolves the entire misunderstanding between those two, which you would've known about if you had read the story.
It's dumb to just go onto a series' comments section outright saying that "I didn't read the story but here are my two cents on what the story I made up in my head is" and then acting as if people calling you out on literally saying "Women who do these shit-tests belong in the streets." & "For the record, ladies, there's no way in hell any dude is ever gonna be able to find you or even bother trying. Unless, of course, the difference is somewhere more intimate... Then yeah, we'll look real hard!" is making an "ad hominem", no dude, it would be an "ad hominem" if you only said "People who do these shit-tests belong in the streets". Let's not act stupid here, your comment is specifically written to target a specific gender whilst making unnecessarily sexual comments that no one asked for.
But I fear you may not understand anything I'm saying since you only read Shounen garbage and things that jerk your own cock, but I digress, maybe you can reply to me calling me "sexist" and "misandrist" too and I can reply back saying that it's another meaningless ad hominem and that you haven't made a valid argument in opposition of this manwha, and we can wait for a third person to reply with:
You: "Oh look I don't like this one specific scenario which was started by a man"
Them: "Blasphemy! Enemy of all men! Men hater!".
You'd need to find another scan group to upload it, current one did the "it's somewhere else" thing and ignored it. Kinda hard to get interested in your work when it's missing the start right? and if going to another site to read it, why would i come back here to read it when obviously that other place has a more complete set.
