So what happened is Binz introduced a new way to mingle with the consorts and used the reason that 'the work of the king has been accumulating and needs to be dealt with', hence the letter and gift. The king kinda doesn’t want to mingle with the consorts and he’s growing sick and tired of it. So to make the situation easier Binz suggested that they change the mingling so instead of an hour every morning, they will exchange letter and gifts. And in order for that proposal to go through they needed a reason. so they blamed it on the fact that since the king started this whole process his work has been going badly (and accumulating) and needs to be dealt with.

as for the second set of bubbles, So because half the consorts has moved forward in the selection process the king cannot mingle with them anymore and they are made aware of this.
But the other half haven’t been made aware that the other half has moved forward and so the king needs to behave normally cause he can’t just kick them out until those three months are over. So Macron needs to act like nothing has changed and keep mingling with that half. The reason Feria hasn’t been moved forward is because he hasn’t visited her yet. they were discussing the consorts that he had already met with.
