So if I'm understanding this correctly, Pelle is the one leading the council of elders and was designated by the King himself to help MC and everyone has to keep this fact a secret (to the point that he has body doubles) because they don't want to tip off the other elders that the King has chosen Feria above everyone else?

I don't remember the blurbs from previous chapters, but I assume that several elders must have certain candidates in mind so the King's decision ultimately doesn't matter unless the entire council agrees?
