kayyy AI aside is anyone gonna talk about the chapter lmao
There's two buttons in the bottom-middle of the reader area, one of which expands said area to fill the browser window, whereas the other makes it go fullscreen.Don't care about MTL, I use it for personal use. But my problem here is that I'm too old for this "official site".
Nice, it's 10% bigger, thank you. Now just 240% left to go.There's two buttons in the bottom-middle of the reader area, one of which expands said area to fill the browser window, whereas the other makes it go fullscreen.
This is going to controversial and unpopular. Some people here are really full of bullshit.
I regularly see people here praising to high heaven the worst MTL ever that some ESL teen has hacked with Deepl and paint, and then, I see complaints here about how dare the editor do the same, but better (with an actual proofreader).
MTL is bad in every case, whether it's done by a wannabe scanlator or by an official editor.
Stop praising the hacks that don't know a lick of CN/KR/JP and destroy perfectly good series and maybe I'll believe your fake outrage about this.
But I'm pretty sure the main audience of manga on this site don't give a shit about MTL as long as it's "readable".
Is it contraversial? the majority of people are fine with it either because:This is going to controversial and unpopular.
But to be perfectly honest, for the majority of manga that I read, especially if it's not physical releases I'm actually fine with EDITED/Proofedtied MTL as long as it's still readable and there are minimal mistake in name of speaker/term used.
The results probably will be far from good for some manga like Ancient Magus Bride or Magus of The Library or maybe HXH, but for lots of shonens title or isekai, I think it's going to be good enough.
It's not like most of JP-EN translation for anime/manga/game are good anyway.
Personally I think some of the official translation are worse than even MTL.
Is that so?Is it contraversial? the majority of people are fine with it either because:
as long as it readable who cares
or
There are too many bad actors in the localization industry and people have been praying for an alternative for those entitled c*nts
Is that so?
It's good if that was actually the opinion of the silent majority.
Cause it feel like there are so many people with hate boner for anything that use AI.
I know it's not the point you're trying to make, and I'd need to know more about that character, but it's entirely possible that the localizer did a better job here than the Fan TL.Chill people, it's just AI translation. It's not the worst thing that has happened to translations.
Depending on what line you're talking about, it's possible it was Elias doubting his own ability as a teacher, not about teaching her the rules of magic. His struggle is that he thinks she should know, but that he'd mess it up somehow. After all, he emphasized his pronoun right before Chise asked him what was up.Edit - Checked against the raw, and it looks like they messed up Elias' dialog. Like whoever did the work had no context for how he feels about Chise's recklessness and how he would unambiguously frame something that'd get her to rein it in as a good thing. So it's literally valid, but wrong.
