I seriously love all the philosophical introspections that Chise has and tries to put into words. This is one of the reasons why I love this series so much, aside from how cute the interactions between Chise and Elias are.

@APassingReader yeah Chise, Elias, Alice and Renfred are all excellent characters and I really enjoy their interactions and personalities. Alice may look tomboyish, but the way she acts and talks is so cute, especially when she gets flustered.

ed: If we're outlining wishes and stuff, though, I'd like it if we went back to folklore blended with magic rather than wizard academies and wizard politics and wizard. The relationship stuff...can stay too, I guess.

I want more chapters like the one centered on Bain Sidhe, is what I'm saying.

To me these few chapters seem almost like a fan disc for a Visual Novel more than anything else

The ending to the series already happened but we get to spend more time with these characters

@cybik he didn't really, but the author has a real knack for making an unmoving animal skull appear to have varying emotions by depicting it at different angles. down and behind to seem like he's smiling. below and to the front to look like he's uncertain or frowning. this page in particular is a good example of what I mean, nothing is "moving" on his skullhead, but nonetheless seems like he's emoting.

Alice is like a broken record of guilt and devotion, and seems to think that just accepting kindness will lead to being abandoned. At this point Renfred should get a new arm just to put her at ease. Textbook borderline personality disorder.

@Captaininvictus holy shit thank you for that. I always thought Chise only saw Elias' emotions kinda like how people can tell their pets' emotions towards them the more they spend time with em. An emotional bond not bound by mere facial expressions, but the fact that the author actually uses camera angles to show the smile is really neat.
