@Abedeus I'd never heard of these nuckelavee things before so kudos to the people who know what one is. Looking it up, apparently accounts of its appearance vary, so there's a fair amount of leeway for an illustrator to depict it. And I don't know what else it could be, especially with the earlier frame of it coming in from the sea. So I buy it, seems to me that's probably what it is.

Ashen eyes is maximum spooky, i legit have no fucking clue what they'll ever do next. unforunately, stella's a dumb kid who doesn't realize maybe don't fuck around with nightmare creatures that have existed possibly since before time

On page 26 it shows the same nuckelavee or the centaur idk. I think this nuckelavee/centaur is just that man-eating horse. The feet and the tail and the hair are very very similar.

Ashen Eyes is really sticking close to Stella right now isn't he? Hopefully it's just him wanting entertainment by seeing what she does. The alternative, that he's using her for other means beyond that, are more worrying for her.

Also I kind of expected more fae stuff to happen earlier in the trip with them being drawn to Chise but at least something is occurring there. The whole slay vega thing has to come up at some point either here or in the college due to how wizards would use slay vega in the past.

I'm so happy we went back to the original formula even for just a bit!
The school arc is interesting but I liked the earlier stages of this manga more, when they spent more time in the open/countryside, meeting/facing fairy folks, I find myself engrossed by the bits of info about folklore.
