Trash that has the hint of spice. The somewhat compelling drama that pushes the story forward would be worth it... If the fights didn't drag for so long, or actually had the mechanics properly explained so you could follow along.
As is, 80% of the time feels wasted because either our protagonists don't know how to beat the enemy (and just come up with bullshit we weren't even told about), or because they are preparing to use a move we weren't made aware of but they do know will work, and it does flawlessly. At most, the moves that are self-sacrificial, or the few fights were we get a good understanding of what's happening at all times, at least manage to raise SOME semblance of tension during those boringly long stretches of time.
