Bai Hua (Bai Ji alt) "hey I'm here to help you defeat the evil vampire lord" (me).
Like sure, this is a roundabout way to get Ke'er to move on and find something else to do but like, girl this is embarrasing.

To me it feels like this all an elaborate set up to make Ke'er strong enough to accept Bai Ji "embrace" so she'll be her actual daughter.
Since we know silly shenanigans for family runs in this family.

Stuff happen and they got stuck in some dimension space?
Once she got embraced they're now considered Mother and Daughter. The Bai Ming here is technically not the same Bai Ming that The Emperor met but a new complete personality that merge from Bai Ming consciousness.
The story got much more convoluted later on. I kind of hope there's some more story for The Emperor and Bai Ming alas probably because of the limitations the author cannot write their relationship normally. I probably should check QQ group but I don't really feel like reading it anything considering how most of the extras is just disappointingly rushed.
