While I can understand the MC personal hang-ups for not wanting to be found out, wouldn't it make so much more sense to just come clean? I mean the organization already has royal vampires in it, what's one more? Does seem to mostly be trust issues.

@MidnighTea my guess is his scheme to escape involved screwing over the vampire kingdom that tried to brainwash him in a way that makes him fear that they may still hold some sort of grudge over him. He also hasn’t been working there for that long and has never met the organizations leaders/high command so showing your entire hand isn’t a good idea and with the risks of spies and the possibility that this organization is just a puppet of a different faction with their own agenda it’s best to keep a few tricks up your sleeves just in case

she also thinks that they'll throw her out anyway afaik
