For someone who was a human MC was a pretty strong human it's just that the human race is not really strong, others races are stronger. MC is really nerfed too. In the novel MC is stronger and clever.
He is not human anymore. He is not even "he" anymore.
She can just temporarily take her previous male form.
She is not pathetic because she can't beat trolls in her human form. She can't.
She is pathetic (kinda) because she has the power to fight and save everybody but doesn't want to use it because of her own selfish problem with vampires and herself.
And she is starting to realise that because of that people will die.
