And to break the cure the blood spirit in the body in its current state has to DRINK MORE GULAN BLOOD. This is getting confusing.

That is what I think happened as well, but that the Ji Bai's and Bai Ming's personalities are just buried down really deep. Also, I hope MC can work a alliance with Yue/emperor to deal with the Sin Lord, and since the emperor want to rebuild the Gulan empire, just marry MC who is the queen of the Blood spirit empire and merge the two empires together, then they won't be enemies, and the the empire technically will be restored to it originally boundaries.

I've read the raws up to 800 ch (web novel). At first, I thought Kerr (pink haired catgirl) is the romantic interest. However, as the story progress there's no progress in the romance as 'he' finally stuck as a girl. The interesting thing is that she actually has a daughter later (no male partner). The story though..., So many plot twists.
