@sketchy333 seriously, same here, i thought maybe she was having flashbacks to her past life and hallucinated him saying it and that's why he asked her what she meant with sucking her family dry, but even then it doesnt make sense that he basically tells her "do you have any idea how many innocent people I killed for you??"
kind of a weird thing to say in general, but also when youre under investigation, and especially in such a public place

That last line reminded me of 'Rebirth: the Journey of a Wife Spoiling Her Husband', even though this isn't really anything like that novel. But it did make me wonder... what would happen if he remembered the past life?

I don't think that is going to happen in this though.

Pretty different situation to Nan Yun who did nothing and was screwed over at every turn by this guy and Zhu Yao.
