promising story. and seems like the royal court has eyes on the mother and child (alma and slaine) since she fled the palace. i guess they want to make sure that these 2 wont cause any trouble or to be used as pawn against the royal family should the need or ambition rise to the occasion.

It’s a bit of an ass-pull, but all stories start with a coincidence so I’ll let it slide unless we get more bullshit like that. They’re making the MC out to be smart, so we can only hope stupid coincidences won’t be a recurring feature.

For real though, is he going to reveal the has memories of his past life of a Japanese Salaryman? Because that would be far worse.
