Yeah, chapter 58 is part of Volume 8, which is the extra series volume. It was part of the magazine from G Fantasy July 2024 to September 2024 issues (which is confirmed on Square's page here). Each issue had an extra chapter, so there should be a total of 60 chapters. MangaUP currently has it up to 60.1, but I haven't looked at 60.1 or found the magazine raw to see if that there is a 60.2 or not. I'm going to update the final chapter to be 60.

I'll update the volume 8 art page once the cover is finalized.

I assume since they announced the anime series, they wanted to have a few extra issues in the magazine, so that the anime press release would coincide with the final episode.

Yeah, I confirmed that 60 is the final chapter. It is certainly feels like a small promotional story for the anime.

I guess if it does well, they might consider doing a sequel series.

Probably because the novel got progressively worse and unfocused. It stopped being a slow life and became guy doing a MSQ. Hell, girls start being a huge pain in the ass and the end is guy meets god or whoever represents god for a lore dump to skip forward to him naming babies.

It tends to happen with the web and light novels that have unmotivated protagonists who get harems. Those last five words are the biggest fantasy of all. Those plots start demanding lots of phlebotinum, handwavium, and deus ex machina, thus making the stories uninteresting. The authors force their plots so much that they lose track of where they are and where they were going, and readers start feeling the same and drop the stories.

Early indicators of a novel that will start out interesting but end up lost in the wilderness:

• The protagonist has no desire to use his OP gift to its fullest (the author has not decided on where to take it)
• The protagonist fails to explore and push the boundaries of his OP gift (the author has no endpoint in sight)
• The protagonist lacks creativity and curiosity (usually because the author does too)
• The protagonist monologues about modern technologies or knowledge and gets them wrong (the author doesn't know what he doesn't know and cannot research it)
• Women who throw themselves at the protagonist primary for the size of his wealth or his sword (the author views women as shallow, 1-D gold diggers, and the recurring characters will thus be 1-D or 0-D)

Just to note some of the things that were absolutely wrong in this work.

• K-1 kerosene is almost the same as #1 diesel, but K-1 has been further desulfured and lacks the lubricity of #1 diesel. Some diesel engines are rated to use K-1 as is, while others may need the K-1 to be mixed with lubricating additives. K-1 should be available in 1 gallon (4 litre) and 5 gallon (20 litre) jugs. White gas or Coleman gas is a high-purity, low-octane (maybe around 50) gasoline without the additives, and will ruin a diesel engine.
• There are white and purple carrots, but the bulk of carrots were and are orange. There are some medieval paintings that depict carrots, but to me, the white "carrots" look like parsnips and the purple "carrots" look like some type of radish.
• Shallow wells are problems. They basically contain unfiltered surface water, complete with whatever you might find on the surrounding ground. I would have used the excavator instead of a post hole diger.
