I hate how parasocial and twisted the Internet had become and will continue to be even worse in the future. We truly are heading straight toward Cyberpunk in no time at all. The mere fact that a young girl needs to stay away from enjoying her youth just because of the probability that some sickos might tracked her location down and go there to do nefarious things

The issue is that we have very little recourse for these types of situations. Obviously if someone stalks you, they will be arrested and dealt with. However, some people will then skirt around the whole stalking label by using loopholes. For example, in theory someone could follow you around, discreetly and make it convincing enough that any places you do run into them is common enough to support their case that they aren't stalking you. Now you could get a restraining order and that would be that but unlike the regular person, she would have to consistently get restraining orders then as multiple people will stalk her. It also doesnt help that Japan expects the victim to behave in a manner that is "appropriate" even in a bad situation.

Now we can all say the obvious "why can't people just be good and leave her alone?" Telling that to a bad person is pointless as they either are unaware of their action being bad or they simply don't care.

I respect the decision they made; it is mature, but I don’t think it is the best decision. Honestly, fuck Yamada’s work! I’ve always hated it, and now I hate it more. I try not to cuss anymore, but this shit’s sad. I hope they find a solution to all of this bullshit they’re going through because of this stupid ass entertainment industry.

I remember almost dropping this off because of him in the first chapter...... my man really come lone way.
I tried to explain this strip cold to a friend of mine once, and it was difficult. "It's about this kid who wants to murder the girl he's crushing on, but seriously, just stick with it a minute."

meanwhile awwww yeah suwa-san is on the team.

I'm waiting for the moment Yamada has to decide between her career and Ichikawa. How Norio handles that will tell me if it will be worth continuing reading. We see here that Ichikawa is always willing to put Yamada and her career first, eventually that becomes tiring in a relationship. You need your partner to pick up for a bit and put you first. I dont think Yamada is the mature one in the relationship or grown up. She's just dedicated to her career which for Ichikawa may see grown up. Ichikawa doubts about himself need to be taken care of. Hopefully when/if Norio sensei decides he gets a career path that will help with that.

I honestly don't have any problems with Yamada focusing a bit more on her work for now. The problem is that the entertainment industry can be so messed up, as you can see here in the States or Japan. I still hope that she will one day choose to prioritize Ichikawa more than any work she would get. Yes, working would put food on the table and roof above your head, but it won’t be there to help you through the challenges that life brings, nor would it be there with you on your deathbed.

there is no realistic end that contains both ichi and the career here. one has to finally be subordinate to the other, and no girl will respect a man who subordinates himself to her career.

ichi should expect her to leave her career (to be his, rather than theirs, not to be "free") and she'd love it. he's young and insecure so it's fine that he fails to do that, but the problem is the manga isn't framing that as a failure.
