there is no realistic end that contains both ichi and the career here. one has to finally be subordinate to the other, and no girl will respect a man who subordinates himself to her career.

ichi should expect her to leave her career (to be his, rather than theirs, not to be "free") and she'd love it. he's young and insecure so it's fine that he fails to do that, but the problem is the manga isn't framing that as a failure.
No girl would respect a man who forced her to give up her career just for him. It’s crazy to think that Ichikawa would even consider doing that, and crazy to think Yamada would respect him for that.

It's super cute, and i'm really glad to see them handling it without drama or miscommunication, but i think it's really fucked up that a 14 yo middle school girl has to cut down her social life because she got a little famous on tik tok while being a debuting actress. I understand why, but it's fucking sad

oh it's this bumfuck again with his misogynistic ass takes

Regarding the manga's framing, I don't disagree. I don't like how Ichi's sacrifices and the restrictions on Yamada's life are framed as the correct decision and an inevitable evil you have to resign yourself to, respectively.

But THIS?

ichi should expect her to leave her career (to be his, rather than theirs, not to be "free")
A scare would fix you

The issue is that we have very little recourse for these types of situations. Obviously if someone stalks you, they will be arrested and dealt with. However, some people will then skirt around the whole stalking label by using loopholes. For example, in theory someone could follow you around, discreetly and make it convincing enough that any places you do run into them is common enough to support their case that they aren't stalking you. Now you could get a restraining order and that would be that but unlike the regular person, she would have to consistently get restraining orders then as multiple people will stalk her. It also doesnt help that Japan expects the victim to behave in a manner that is "appropriate" even in a bad situation.

Now we can all say the obvious "why can't people just be good and leave her alone?" Telling that to a bad person is pointless as they either are unaware of their action being bad or they simply don't care.
Isn't the problem then in society and companies that allow or even encourage that possessive and victim blaming culture to continue? And if kid in Japan can't do any celebrity-adjacent job like modeling, acting etc. without constantly being at risk of crazy stalkers if they dare to live their life normally, then maybe those jobs shouldn't be allowed to be given to minors in Japan, just like we no longer allow kids to work in mines? If they want to have teens in business, they should provide them adequate job protection without making the minor sacrifice their youth and risk psychological issues.

Somehow many other countries don't seem to have that much of a risk with their slightly famous working teens, maybe Japan could actually work on becoming safer country for celebrities and crack down on creeps like pigman, instead treating them as normal part of celeb life? For example, if in your town break-ins robberies start to be common and mayor just says to people to buy better locks and sturdier doors, people would be furious and demand police patrols and arrests, as well as his resignation.

I might be off base, but from that forced misogyny and that profile pic, I doubt you have ever been on speaking terms with a girl, so you have no way to know.

I do wonder how author will end it since there seems to be 4 main routes I can think of

Dating in secret, breaking up and meeting up again as adults, breaking up with both characters moving on or they get caught and she gives up on the industry.

As sweet as this is, the way how Anna pinned him down there... Why do I get the feeling the author has always wanted to do that to a shota. XD

True, but at the same time I seriously doubt that in 2024 "an actress is currently in MS" and no one knows at least what city she lives in.
And with just that, it's a matter of time before people finds her or at least accidentally sees her...so I think is a naive way to put all the matter down.
Despite the possibility of that happening, they can't just abandon caution. That's not being naive, that's just being pragmatic. Besides, there's still plenty of ways for the two to hang out wherever however.
