Like Swifft said, the illustrations are actually part of what the artist is releasing on Twitter together with the extras, and they are hence indeed an integral part of the manga. To me, they are a nice additional bonus which enhance the cute- and sexyness of Yamada. And no, I don't see these illustrations in stark contrast the to rest of the manga which already has a ton of allusions to sex in general.
