speaking of, strange for Yamada to pay attention to other guys besides ichikawa. She knows about his soccer thing which was a surprise. (perhaps because of that fact she knew he liked her so her attention shifted a bit isnt it?)

looks like Nanjou Paisen seems to have grown. at first he was some pickup artist then he became a bit obsessed (scaring his cohorts) then mellowed out and just wanted to get closure (i.e. confess). Good for him he still has a girl waiting for him,

Im not sure what kind of train of thought did Ichikawa do to make him think thats evidence enough that Yamada likes him at this point. In fact he should've realized during the Chocolate Handoffs they did during Valentines by then.

In this re-read, Thinking why he found Yamada at all made realize something and I almost can see a POV of Nanpai asking the teacher:

nanpai: "hey, did you see Yamada?"
teacher: "no I dont think so"
nanpai: ".... how about Ichihara?"
Teacher: "Ichi... U mean Ichikawa? oh he is on thr infirmary"

She knows about his soccer things just because she's a kind girl who pay attention to people around her, and has a much more mature mindset compare to what people often perceive her.
