Started as second year middle schoolers (8th grade) and are currently third year (9th grade,) so we've seen them in the 14-15 year old range.

I think some of you might me missing why the earlier chapters were there. It plays into his insecurities and feeling less than others. Thus he adopted this edgy personality, making himself feel special, to protect his ego.

Kyou starts liking Anna (or realizes it) in Ch. 14, pretty explicitly.
On her side it's a little less clear, but biggest signs are Ch. 27 and Ch. 30. Probably gets hit by the feels in 27 and confirms it in 30.
Other changes aren't relevant enough that I want to look into it.

Most girls tend to start puberty before boys, and generally hit their max height around 16 years of age, give or take a bit. And at 172cm, she's already huge for a woman in Japan, where the average height is 159.5cm. Heck, she's taller than the average height for men in Japan, which is 170.8cm!

I think it hits her pretty suddenly how she actually feels about him at the end of 26, and the milk tea in 27 is where she decides to go for it.
