When I compare his reaction in those early chapters to help her against the pick up artist senpai vs now it's just... WOW !

He fails a lot but he always confront his darkest desires and cringiest failures, takes accountability, aknowledges his mistakes and learn to be better.
I remember this chapter when he said he thought he was special but in reality he is just normal. This is what it is all about after all.
