This ended a couple weeks ago, but it isn’t updated on MangaDex, so I figured I’d leave a review here. For lack of spoilers, I’ll keep it general.
The dialogue is very natural. The organic flow from each exchange is definitely the biggest contributing factor as to why I liked this manhwa so much.
The cast is very solid. The characters possess depth and sophistication, and their personalities are clearly conveyed through their actions. These personality profiles remain remarkably consistent throughout the story, and their subtleties become especially evident from how characters respond to specific events.
The storytelling is deliberate; there are a couple of recurring motifs that really enhance the writing’s “show, don’t tell” ethos. It’s especially satisfying seeing characters pick up on smaller details and acknowledge them in subsequent conversations.
I liked the plot; I wasn’t really disappointed by writer choices or disinterested at any point. While somewhat abrupt, I liked the cut from S1 to S2.
In sum, this is a standout manhwa. It was a good refresher from all the slop I’ve been reading.
