On page 32, I can't help but see Lafine as Cammy White in that one panel.

So, Marie needs to be stripped of her title and executed to have the death penalty abolished. Well Lafine, looks like you're only getting half the job done. Makes me wonder what happened after Marie's executions in Lafine's storyline. Did she get her wish or was she executed herself for committing regicide? If the latter, how many people went down with her? And what about the people in the slums? With Marie gone, so will the benefits that were provided to them by her and her allies. Throw in Lafine getting executed and they've lost their clinic as well.

Only way i see this ending properly with this woman is if the MC somehow finds a way to put this crazy woman in the guillotine herself and just move on from this character and onto the next.

This manga is great illustration of how the ruling class genuinely fearing for their life at the hands of the populace provides such lovely benefits as public education and the abolition of corporal punishment

It also illustrates the fantastical level effort needed to make them learn and grow as people lol

she isn't even learning or growing as a person. It's still delusion and self preservation. I don't know if she ever will or is capable based on what we've seen thus far.
