The current queen is an impostor, and Macefield is a real idiot. She keeps hiding all her bullshit under glamorous words for the empire, yet her actions are all nothingburgers and have no real benefit or are FOR the kingdom she swore her fealty, hell that false queen is actually very infamous. A real disgrace to knights, well, IRL knights were also real dregs of society so she and the others fit the bill.
