edit: It seems that the series finished in January with a grand total of 16 chapters. We have just read three, so I would not say it is almost finished, but compared to a long-running series, it could be considered almost done. However, this implies either it was cancelled, which would be a real drag for everyone, or the author finished with what they wanted to convey and did not want to drag it out, which is respectable

@briancornpop It wasn't cancelled, it ended normally. Looks like the author didn't want to take the responsibility of a long running manga. I would've been at peace if only this had 50 chapters, 16 chapters of this just doesn't cut it.
