There also is various free image editing software that is similar to photoshop available and definitely better than paint. I use GIMP to edit images but I am sure there are others out there, check the forums for a discussion about what is available or what people recommend.

It makes sense for him to have everything, I mean, the amount of "trash" that accumulates in the inventory after years of adventures is incredible, and like they say, one's trash is another's treasure XD

Bruh. The fact that you're using wild words next to an arial type font is an eyesore in itself. I'd honestly just retypeset at that point.

Also rule of thumb, I never use Wild Words brackets, they look gross.

Yeah, I enjoyed the release (Thanks!) but the fonts chosen, and more importantly, the points the fonts change detracted. Especially when you change fonts within a box or bubble. I actually had comprehension breaks when that happened, and I would have to re-read the window or panel to comprehend what the author is trying to get across to us.

But like I said, thank you for the release and picking this up!

This version cleaned up Lena's act...don't know if that makes it better, or just removes evidence of crime....

Also, in the wn I always took Zeros to be another edgy Japanese character name, but now that I think of it, Zealous Merlin is probably a descriptive name for his playstyle.

Honestly good job, I can see the improvement to the parts that I wasn't able to translate well (couldn't make sense of their MTL completely).

Following up on @Seink, quite literally his inventory is FULL of shit. He needs to go and get more of it now and then because he needs lower tier materials and he spends resources like water but with his play style and being a alchemy/smith/knight/wizard/enchanter focused on production skills and 'TUEEEEEEEEEE' him having all assortment of medicines that might be useful just makes sense. I don't recall him having any particular disease resistance and this one specifically apparently comes off being hit by a monster which could happen at any level of monster making it a more likely to be useful medicine. Meanwhile as in this he's still buying and searching for low level herbs because as his mental explanation about needed a job said with his alchemy skills if he actually made anything with alchemy and put it on the market the entire market would crash. He actually mentions at one point around here in the WN that he knows the recipe for two different age removal drugs. One of which needs to be taken frequently or you start aging double time and one that cleanly removes 20 years of age off you.....he even thinks he could make with a couple more ingredients he can find but finds it too troublesome to do and likes his scruffy questionable old man look.

@Kisato tbh some speech bubbles from PeraltaCorp was more accurate but I didn't want to re-do the entire thing from scratch after I already completed 21 pages. Some kanji were hard and complex that even between machine scans, draw-identify apps and hand searching through over 500 kanji I still couldn't find the meanings. A couple of the complex kanji bubbles I noticed were left blank or just guessed based on context.

@CountryMage yeah I think it might be Zealous instead of Zeros or Zelos but it's katakana ゼロス if I remember correctly so interpret as you would like

@Peraltacorp Perhaps if you feel up to it you can re-font my altered version of the chapter. On some pages I copied letters from your font to make a few more words or change grammar but for more noticeable changes I honestly was too lazy.

I welcome anybody to come and unify the font and re-upload. I just wanted to correct some missing text and different translations. It's a lot of work for someone that can barely read katakana and hiragana. I only have like 30-50 memorized and have to often cross-check charts which takes a lot of time. Overall ch13 is more accurate now but looks overall aesthetically worse. I'll probably find a free editing program somewhere if I continue but I mostly just wanted to practice my hira+katakana. If I feel motivated I might re-font everything from scratch and upload a cleaner version, but for now anybody that's motivated can do that. Translation is already decent.

@katanon I second the other commenter recommending GIMP as a free image editor if you do decide to continue translating manga. If you’re looking for pure practice though, web novels are also a great resource because they’re lazily written. They’re both easy to read, and a challenge to translate smoothly.

IMO:
1) this is already much more readable
2) what's with the bits with inconsistent fonts?

@Wolvenworks see comment below. I just downloaded gimp and some fonts after feedback. Translation is more accurate now but it looks more ugly. I'm debating re-fonting everything after I study a bit of typesetting, but for now it's just a slightly more accurate translation.

@Peraltacorp Cool. Are we still waiting for someone to pick this up? I downloaded gimp and some fonts. Some of the functions in gimp are driving me crazy though, it's so redundant. I did get some practice typesetting though so future chapters I do TL shouldn't look so ugly.

@katanon @Peraltacorp in case the "yatsuchiyatsuta" note wasn't already answered, やっちゃった is read "yacchatta" which is a shortening of "yatte shimatta". You could translate it as "she ended up doing it" or "she actually went through with it". People also use it for mistakes or accidents, like, "oh, you've gone and done it now".

More details on the small versions of the characters:

@Daipinchi Thanks, I didn't understand that abbreviation. Also the big and small う and よ make a lot more sense now. I was confused why one kana would randomly be small in some lines

Edit: We're going with PeraltaCorp's re-fonted revised version of ch13 now.
