I dunno, that vague incident kinda just feels like it was written in to make readers feel more than just bad for the original Chloe. Unless it gets expanded on later, it seems like a way to say "see, old Chloe really was awful and not just a poor anxiety ridden lady with no allies."

...I still feel like she had Hella Anxiety though lol. It was shitty how the maid was falsely accused but I understand how everything on Chloe's end lead up to that.

Since the start this story is really ignore the practice of nobles, the author may want to make somehow a relatable character that close with people under her, but it just doesn’t make sense.

And how the story going, it’s just so fast yet forced to be understandable

And the old Chloe... dear I thought you were a pitiful quiet shy character but blame someone for your lack of ability is just a big no no, especially if they need to be punished, remembering their name and a glass of tea can make someone forgives you?!

I'm just reading this reading this Manhua now and I'm staning the Head Kitchen Maid.

She was falsely accuse by the OG!Duchess and was whip but she doesn't join the other maids on bullying the duchess, and now she's willing to let go of her hatred of the OG!Duchess because she 'changed'.

I'm gonna stan the current Duchess if she apologize to the Head Kitchen Maid. It's hard to apologize for things you didn't do especially after you made a decision to live life for yourself though.
