Leaving apart the first 2-3 chapters, everything is different from the novel.
The novel is much better by the way, but still not finished and no one has been translating it for some time.

I'm pretty mad at this confusing ending... this series was one of the first isekai I read, so I had nostalgia picking it up again... but even after reading a lot of comments trying to explain. .. it's really not clear. And doesn't change the fact the last few chapters were terrible. .. what a pity.

Tfw the best way to summarize this Kino Seeker plot was to listen to the Linkin Park song "In The End"

If you view this as an ascended fan-fiction of Arifureta, then it the rather enjoyable trek of Edgemaster Flash. Of course, this is better than Arifureta. It has no pretense; Kino Seeker is just pure cool and rad drawings and epic grunge.

@Atmosk Sorry for the late reply, Dungeon Seeker was a FanFic/plagarized of arifureta (Same character, different names and everything all except how the Dungeon Seeker Author wanted the story to go like No Companions and everyone betraying you), He than copied EVERY TEXT (except character names) from Arifureta Chapter 2 for Dungeon Seekers chapter 2, he than got sued when a Reader of Arifureta notified the author about the similarities in Dungeon Seeker (which got a LN adaption AND a manga) who than Sued and won in court.

Here is a comment made by a Anon on 4chan where DungeonSeeker was originally translated at.
This is the story as a translator /a/non said WAY back when chapter 1 of dungeon seeker manga was translated here.
Basically Arifureta was a little known Japanese webnovel, and the author of Dungeon Seeker was a reader, apparently he thought something like "I can do better" so he rewrote Arifureta in a way he thought would be better. No big deal, that's how Dungeon Seeker starts. Of course he was right. Dungeon Seeker is a more interesting story early on, and it's moderately better written (that isn't hard to do btw, it's not like Arifureta was any good), anyway as the webnovel went on the author of dungeon seaker got lazier and lazier, and started to pull parts of chapters of Arifureta changing names only. No one noticed because at the time Arifureta was basically unknown. anyway the whole second half of the webnovel of Dungeon seeker is apparently just Arifureta with different names (yeah he kept the worst part of it) because apparently daily webnovel content was harder to do then the author of dungeon seeker thought when he started.

ANYWAY, this is where the story gets slimey, apparently around the time Dungeon Seeker got a light novel (arifureta was still a moderately unknown webnovel) a fan of arifureta picked up the dungeon seeker LN, and saw some similarities, so he went looking for the webnovel, only to realize the whole second half was plagiarized. So he contacted the author of Arifureta, who then sued everyone involved (apparently the dungeon seeker manga was started around the time the LN started to hit the shelves). When the author of Dungeon Seeker was sued, he went to his fans and turned black into white and claimed Arifureta was a plagiarization of his work Dungeon Seeker and sicked his fans on the Author of Arifureta, leading to death threats and the like.

Well he won, and the courts ordered every penny of profit from the manga and ln of dungeon seeker to go to arifureta's author.

Underwhelming.

It lacks something, making you think that it may get better, and it all sinks down in the end.

Hmm... deus ex machina Mugetsu really sucked. So many character actions don't make sense in the whole. I liked parts of this but others were kind of...lax? and the ending...eh. it felt like it was trying to do grim and gritty at the same time as a happy ending.

Super spoilers for people who have completed this but haven’t read the webnovel.

There is a huge amount missing from the comic. But one of the biggest and kind of most impactful things is that mugetsu is mio’s little sister.

I binged this in one sitting and it went from "Alright I guess I'm interested in yet anothervengeance porn manga" - and then all of a sudden it got to the half way point and then it was over.... Just the worst pacing. Pretty terrible overall. Def bottom tier.
