It's Scots: it's a language variety of Scottish English. Thing is, its spelling was never standardized (so its more phonetic) and it has some other differences. Most varieties of it are easier to understand spoken than written for this reason. If you've ever read anything by Robert Burns, you'll get a good idea of what most forms of Scots are like. This one feels a bit more distant, but that might be due to my incompetence. Reading it aloud will probably help.
