Honestly, the story is interesting enough on its own without the ML. I'd rather just a story of the FL getting revenge because there's enough characters + an interesting FL to carry the story.
I guess that's what happens when the ML takes so long to arrive and when they do, their actions come off as so unnecessary to the main plot besides existing for """"""""sexy times"""""""".
