Welp, ofc personalities matter more than looks in a relationship. I have met many pretty people with nasty attitudes and never associated myself with them. Even if you start dating someone because of their looks but you two are not compatible, it won't last long anyways.

Looks are not super relevant but they still matter to me aka I don't strictly want to date a supermodel but someone I can be physically attracted to at least, regardless of how "conventionally attractive" they may be to society.

People who love you for your looks love you superficially. Looks are important in relationships that are based on, in my opinion, people who only love you for your looks.

Looks do matter but what matters with looks is that you're presentable, for example, if you haven't showered for 7+ days you shouldn't call someone superficial if they don't want to approach you. Of course genetics exist and some are more beautiful/handsome than others but most people can look presentable if they try is what I mean. It's like, if you want to show off your personality you just have to make enough of an effort that people don't want to avoid you the moment they see you. Idk if anyone will understand my long and messy "rant" but if you do then great. But yeah other than looking presentable everyone should be on an even field at least in my opinion so personality matters more afterwards.
