Tbh it still seems pretty useful as a vanguard for unknown dungeons, especially if it's just to take aggro

But yeah there's definitely a reason why there probably aren't many high-ranked ones. Still, there's no reason (so far) as to why it's considered so bad, though, since Rampart can clean up low level monsters and undead, which are requests that are nearly always in demand in these settings

Compared to Sword Saint? Sure, I'd get why people would be mad that he picked it over that, but as a general class, with randos shitting on him just because? Idk, it feels super forced to me

I'm thinking this more like a rougelike than an mmo since MC have to get a certain build that he wants that can exploit this class similar to how in rougelike you get certain built to exploit the shit out of the game

it very possible in many MMORPG game, it sounds like a class that whale and very expert dps-tank aim for and totally not for newbie.

I didn't really notice it until now, but his combo of a lance and shield really reminds me of the Lancer tank class from TERA Online. No wonder it seemed familiar to me. His pose on page 15 really sells it. Damn, I miss that game. Too bad it's all private servers on PC now.

We haven't seen him use a single aggro drawing skill. He's mostly just shoved himself between a monster and someone else. In a fight where a party is surrounded, that's a useless tank. It forgoes most tank support options in favor of sheer defense and survivability
