I forget who this guy is
Kishida was the other candidate for the Maguro, besides Takaichi, but he wasn't chosen because he tends to lack when the going gets tough... at least nowadays.

But he was still a player, and one that always looks for himself so he was doing his runs around to get on top, he had allied himself with the Kujira.

I don't remember if it was on the condition of joining Kujira as a high-rank member or if it was to take control of Maguro after they killed Takaichi, well... one way or another it failed.

Why Takaichi didn't kill when he has all the right? Dont know, respect maybe, maybe he thinks there was too much death already, and he understands Kishida enough that he doesnt mind overlooking this time as long as he doesnt repeat it again.

They're a small crime family and need to stick together. They also need to rebuild and need men who can prove to be tough which he sorta proved after calling quits and accepting defeat. He was probably used to be like this too until he got sissified over the years and people lose respect for him. He became cowardly and relied on someone else to help him because he knew he was weak. With that understanding that he can still be redeemable, there was no reason to kill him and lend back a hand to pick himself up so they can move past it and look forward to the future. That's the main reason why Takaichi is truly the best candidate, he has shown leadership by showing people who's at the top of the pecking order but knows when to help their weak when they're down.
