I don't get two things: how did they got safe from that explosion and why huff puss cares about hina's legs now? Or Hina at all for that matter, what happened with his identity...? wait, Is this because he defeated the sister?! Is that enough for him?!

I found it strange why Suzuki even cares about Hinako at all, but thinking about it now, he never did touch her, and he went out of his way to meet up with the "pervert" in the park and kick him in the head. Also, they tried to hide their real activities from her. Utsubo would probably never care, so it had to be Suzuki having the voice of compassion between them.

It did seem like he would sacrifice her though, but not if it were meaningless like how their plan failed, and Akira showed how futile it was to improvise.

He’s going after The Fable because of his pride, Youko is fair game for the same reason. Hina is innocent, she didn’t fuck him over so he has no reason to betray her for the kill on The Fable because it wouldn’t fix his pride it would make it worse. Youko and Satou are free game, anyone else isn’t. It’s like Satou said, “he’s like me, he’s a pro”

He gave up on The Fable and also his profession (hinted at in the beginning and the end of the arc). Youko was not actually enough for him to regain his pride. He accepted defeat and gave up.

The guy was a murderer-for-hire. Whether someone was innocent or not does not matter. Remember he tried to shoot Akira before he knew he was an assassin. Also, Hinako being right in range of the landmine is already him betraying her to kill Akira. Also, his pride does not include honor. They had Hinako as bait in their plan, he used Youko as a shield, not to mention it was a 2v1.

There was also no reason to kill Utsubo if Hinako loses her legs. Why should Suzuki care, right?
