@Walter_vi_Britannia I've often thought about that too. If magically changing gender and appearance dramatically was normal enough that you'd know at least one or two people like that growing up a lot of issues would be different in mostly the ways you said. Trans stuff would be vastly different for sure. A lot of the current hate they get probably transferred to GNC/queer folk since most trans folk I know would absolutely choose to be "conventionally" attractive for their gender identity if it could be instantly done. In other words that world would be better in a lot of ways, but we'd arguably lose a lot too. Life's super complicated like that. Props to folks like you who put a lot of thought into this stuff.
Anyways. This manga is interesting to me just because of all the empty space it leaves. Like, we know the protagonist was changed against their will but they seem oddly... cooperative with the person who did it? Assuming that's who she's talking to in most of these chapters? It could be some kind of magical brainwashing, but she seems too willful for that. They have some kind of non-antagonistic relationship when you'd think she'd be furious at having her life ruined.
(of course the empty space is probably the whole point)
