Imagine having your admission unilaterally revoked by the absolute worst school/uni, that was the only one you got into, because of their dean hassling other schools not to accept your application.

It was (probably) unilaterally arranged, she had no choice, and was still abandoned. Destroying her life until then and her future prospects. Less the betrayal, more her life-consequences of the abandonment.
