Side effect the new leg then last 4 time less if they renew this fast so cancer will likely happen in those parts.

@Kamelpov
I think that the nano machines would be fairly effective at detecting and eliminating cancers

I guess the main interesting magic that Alan will gain is the healing magic - I don't imagine the other offensive magics to be super useful

What's the deal with isekai and food? Every time some random guy ends up in a fantasy world, people always praise them for their food like it's the best thing since the invention of the wheel.

Lol that death penalty for copyright infringement, sure scary...

@nightwatch25 because their food is kinda bad (for commoner I mean), one example is a sweet and soft bread (the common one is a very hard and tasteless bread, sometimes they would put the bread in a soup to make it soft and more filling. There's a russian dish that use this method) in the medieval era is only for the Rich such as Nobles, Royalties, and Merchant (and even they don't taste that great compared to nowadays bakeries). So if you can compare nowadays food with the medieval one you sure would know which one taste better... Well it depends on the Isekai settings, is the cuisine world advanced or not..

@TrapCard113 yeah at least there's no Japanese stuff that was out of the general settings in this manga. And idk what's their deal with overproud Rice in asia...yeah they taste great and filling if there's side dish..but that's it what else?? making Rice sake? Or some sweet from rice??

@TrapCard113 Depends on what kind of white rice. Those we get here in the West are pretty shit. In Asia they are much much better. Japanese rice is really great but their export is almost non-existent. Most Japanese rice we get at the supermarket is just a strand grow in over here or China or Thailand, different weather and process also affect the final product. Japan has many strands and they differs in texture, fragrance. That's why Japanese has absolutely ludicrous dishes like white rice, raw eggs and soy sauce or a sprinkle of salt and sesame on top. That's all that's needed for flavour, similar to people love plain bread.

I see your point and indeed there are stories that reflects it, where poor people can only buy a narrow selection of cheap ingredients due to their limited finances. However, what I find strange is that in more 'prosperous' fantasy worlds even if common folks have a lot of ingredients, they didn't come up with more elaborated recipes on their own. The protagonist arrives, asks something like 'can I use your ingredients?' and BANG! he prepares a three course meal while the locals would have used those same ingredients to make a dish of boiled vegetables and roasted meat

Beautiful guild master is the best guild master!

@Ainzell Lots of modern dishes would be simply impossible not only because of what @nightwatch25 said, ingredients being too expensive, but many of the ingredients wouldn't even exist or if they existed, you would barely recognise them. Many vegetables and fruits have gone through so much selective breeding that they are totally different things compared to what they used to be. Also, stuff tended to be local due to the limited effectiveness of ancient trading. So, all in all, Alan is quite a wizard to cook so fluently despite all the hard limits.

@nightwatch25 well maybe because of the techniques, some cooking techniques haven't been invented while in Medieval era (just for grilling there's lot of ways and methods and that's no different with others techniques) and sometimes the social condition is bad enough that if you use a new way of cooking you can be framed and got death penalty (like those copyright infringement in this manga), it's different if you're a professional chef tho.. while they have lot of ingredient's variety, again.. the cooking techniques is the same. Just like European in the medieval era, they have spices coming from India and Southeast Asia but yet you can't find that much spice dishes in European. Idk how to say this but European food often taste so bland compared to Asian, this Isekai settings is European Medieval and the MC coming from a distant future where it's futuristic enough that you can travel between galaxy with ease.. I'm sorry I write too much..

@Kaarme well I agree with you here if this is the average Isekai, but in this case why Alan can make those exquisite and delicious dishes maybe because his knowledge..he comes from distant future maybe he have lot of ways and knowledges and one thing he have his AI in his body (sorry forgot the name..) I think the AI have lots of knowledge too right?

@Ainzell Yeah, actually the nanobot AI would be quite priceless, especially if it has our Internet's worth of information, which it logically should have. I mean, when I'm cooking or baking, it's more likely I check the Internet for ideas these days than any other source. I don't know about Asia, especially China where they seem to eat just about anything possibly edible (which unfortunately includes bats with their coronaviruses as well), but at least where I live the modern man has forgotten quite a lot of what was eaten in the distant, poor past. Some top chefs do use those ingredients, though, but not an average person. Alan, however, could just head out and collect whatever for ingredients and spices. Even if it's unknown, the nanobots should be able to check if it's poisonous or not. This is essentially where cooking being his hobby starts to become essential. If he was just cooking to have something to eat, there's no way he would go out of his way to try to replicate fancy dishes with limited ingredients, but since it's his hobby, he would most certainly do it. Just like those of use who have a cooking/baking hobby (to any degree) are far more likely to alter, combine, and adapt recipes to suit our own fancy.

@Kaarme yeah his AI is priceless indeed, with just those AI he can survive almost in every terrain (that have oxigen), and that's what I mean if it's the generic Isekai then cooking good food by our standard would be quite hard but plausible, and our standard of good food would be considered as heavenly in medieval era because of how bland their everyday food is.
