I've been reading this on Asura Scans and it's the first time in a while I've cussed something I'm reading (Chapter 177)The moment this jerk named his Daughter Dumpling I lost my calm Overall this is actually a very entertaining read and you should read it. But it doesn't mean some parts won't anger you. But anyway I just needed to vent a bit

I'm biting the bullet and reading the missing chapters elsewhere. There are some good things here but it's overall a mixed bag.

To the surprise of no one, much of this sticks to the usual 'regressor' script of a person going back in time and abusing their memory (which is sometimes perfect and sometimes missing really obvious things) to get ahead. That part isn't particularly notable. If you like standard regressor stories, you'll probably like this fine. If not, well buckle up if you're gonna try this one.

What gets me is how often people just pledge undying loyalty to MC over the smallest of compliments. "I believe I am strong and I believe in your strength" basically gets him the allegiance of the greater portion of the entire population. The bit with setting up
the game's initial and strongest alchemist
really comes off as a lazy way to say "and MC never has to worry about money ever again" because it stops making any sense after the initial investment to get started.

The other main sticking points for me are in people's assertions that this person is some sort of great leader and/or internally driven genius. Part of it makes sense when you consider using strategies ahead of common knowledge but it's not entirely selling it that he can convince people of his reliability. They outright point out that he not only isn't talented at leading large groups of people, he has no interest in it. The unexpected addition of him gaining a unique sidequest related to his desire to be number one is grating because it's one thing to want it and to use other people's innovation to get ahead, but it's another to truly fight for that spot and I'm just not convinced he can be the latter at the point I've reached. Every time he makes progress in this direction it comes across as a deus ex machina rather than a genuine character development on his own efforts.

There is clearly another plot going on in the background, however, and I'm curious to see how it will interact with the above concerns. If it's played right, it could justify or at least mitigate most of it. Or it could be a huge letdown after so much time invested in getting there.

So the story has ended, not bad of the ending to concluded it, the story has a lot of plot holes later on and clunky last arc but ye, it's still a great journey. Adios.

I stopped reading around ch 275. It was fun enough if you like vrmmo slop. This story is different in that players can level up and "awaken" and they're able to use their character's powers in the real world. The real world awakened people idea is very underutilized in the story up to the point where I've read. For instance the army recruits the MC, asks him to do one mission, then there is a 15 month time skip in which nothing happens. They set up the MC to go to high school, he attends class never. He goes to a sports competition and sweeps gold medals in every single category breaking all records even though he wants to live a low key life. He is famous in the game, his character looks like him and he named it after him. Reporters are all over him for his sports achievements and nobody recognizes him. The character cast is quite large and there are parts where there is a large scale battle with everyone in different places and it is a real slog. I found myself scrolling past most of that just to get back to the world building. Boss fights aren't very clever. This is a story where an AI runs the whole MMO and generates new content as it watches players and the MC is the "chosen one" so it just dumps OP skills on him. It reminds me of Overgeared and I'm Destined For Greatness where being good at a video game makes you rich and famous IRL. It's not korean though so the MC isn't a greedy asshole, though it is manhua slop.

Oh yeah MC is basically Sung Jinwoo if he relied on comerades. He is a twin dagger necromancer who is OP. The only difference is this is a manhua so the MC doesn't have the sperm eye every time he wants to aura farm.

I agree with that. Should have named her keira which means 'little dark one'

The author seems to have a habit of introducing new things and promptly forgetting they exist. examples are: weapon stacks disappear, the phoenix summon is introduced in one chapter and never seen again, dps copy is shown once and never used again, necromancer skills are forgotten about.

Now for me to whine. I really hate the english translation for this. One of the biggest things I hate is when they write vertical words bottom up, so you have to scroll past the page and back up to read what it actually is. Seems there's only one english TL of this and it's full of absolute garbage TL/N like "hey guys do you know which chapter those guys first came up in?" "lol" or an amongus emoji and other trash that isn't a TL/N and they should just leave their stupid comments out. Names are changed back and forth. Wtf is 'qqq mustard man'? Why did they change wasabi's name to that for one chapter then change it back with a TL/N saying 'mustard man is wasabi'. Some of the TL/N are things like 'hey guys should I use this name or this one instead?' A good chunk of it is MTL and not proofread at all so you end up with words that are missing the first letter for some strange reason. Speaking of, some chapters have the TL/N saying something obvious and then the PR/N under is replying to them. None of that is relevant and it's annoying enough that I don't even want to continue reading this.
