the emperor doesnt seem stronger than the grandfather or was only just until the MC gave him the super upgrade pill and I think the MC could probably kill him quite easily considering she seems like death when she has a knife. Is the emperor a fool?
like he said only emperors can get lightning normally and that was rare and only a legend got 3 strikes sort of implies he hasnt got one strike before

@Necrokora that depends on how often he does this, he might create a few enemies of the country if he does this a handful of times in his life, but if he does this regularly, yeah he's begging for a revolt.

@Syanalassa Why should the emperor know how strong she even is? Most of her more impressive achievements have been in disguise as the Ghost Doctor. He has no reason to assume she herself was the reason for the lightning either. Yes, obviously some or something at the manor caused that but there's one other thing here that's more important. He's an emperor. He doesn't expect any of his citizens to pick a fight with him because he's the emperor. They'd be hunted down by the entire empire, and possibly allied areas normally for pulling something like that without at least the backing of another empire's leaders, one that could really put a whammy on them and any of their allied areas. Even if there's someone amazing enough in that family to cause the lightning, they have to be careful how they approach this situation. Even if someone's strong individually, they may not stand a chance against entire armies backed by the funding of imperial coffers.

As the prime minister said, a normal person would consider it a great honor cause of the benefits (most of the women aimed at royals, even though only a small portion of the nobles actually were born molded to compete on it), and an improvment of their social position.
