Im appreciating they aren't trying to show either side as rightous just that they had aspirations they wanted fulfilled. We also get catharsis with both of what are tue most evil of the people dying. If salver boi survived itd feel wrong.

Have mixed feelings about this fight.
The one who started this fiasco was Myriad Company who is the slaver company that kidnap the Scooper in Chp 13.

And yet, they somehow twist the narrative to the dragon child is the enemy that need to be put down.
Myriad.Co hired a lot of adventurers included the Scooper and Evil eyes with tons of cash.

So, who is in the wrong here?
No one
Because story is matter of perspective or POV

Wonder if the manga will also abruptly end next chap just like how the novel went into a indefinite hiatus immedietly after the dragon lady arc.

This is the latest chap in the novels, only thing left is an epilogue.

So unless the novel author plans for the manga to overpass the plot of the novel, next chap may be the last.

isn't this an adaptation of the novel ? that means if the novel ended right after this event it's kinda dead for the manga too

Myriad has basically still lost everything. The only thing they've gained is honor.

Which is a really, really weird thing for a slaver to care about. So the question is whether lightning guy is going to survive, and if he does what he'll do with what's left of the company.

This development wasn't good at all, It could have been resolved long ago if the adventurers had dealt with myriad. The girl was supposedly one of a handful of beings that you MUST avoid, but these people just took the mission of killing her for a little bit more of money than a mission of dealing with a lot weaker slaver? Also, it was shown that she can easily kill any of them but just stood there in the middle taking all of their attacks? There are so many holes in this arc that I felt like my interest in this was lowering with every new chapter. I also don't see why this fight was good, there wasn't any actual fight, she was just there taking damage until the very minute when she couldn't anymore.
Now that I remember, Are they even going to get paid now that myriad died? If I remember correctly it was just a verbal contract.

Both are in the wrong. Myriad for kidnapping and slavery, Beloved Dragon Child for slaughtering and eating people wherever she goes.
Well just like in the real world motives can change, and there is no black and white good and evil.

Hmm. Myriad kidnapping children to give them a better place. Just little mistake :v
Was the method of how protect kidnaping and slaving, maybe the best course of action was talking with their partner the evil eye user, explain the situation and negotiate (but you can avoid the part of the psycho elf putting the quest of doom, because they hate each other), and prepare better for the mindless dragon lady

I'll take this rare gray over the usual black and white that we get in these heap of cheap isekai stories.
