Well... Recording shit like this is pretty normal now days isn't it. People recording doing stupid dangerous things, random bystander recording accident with death casualty and even some idiot record a dead body lol. This dude just mad because the dude that's doing the recording is some one who mess with him before he dies. Yes, he knew the consequences and he choose to avoid it so that is why I'm here asking "why are you blaming him for your own action though, you're the one who choose that choice".
Also I'm 100% sure that even if the fucker isn't recording MC still gonna curse him before he's about to dead. The author wanted a deep hatred development on the MC so he can create a trigger for his "Evil Eye" so the author did this generic blame game.

Back in the days, it was pretty normal in Nazi Germany that Nazis gassed jews. Its their choice to be jews so they cant blame Nazis for that amirite. Such a stupid take, but what did i expect from a comment section for a remotly edgy manga. People filming catastrophes and other peoples suffering being "normal", dosnt change the fact that this is scummy and inhuman. Also what "choice" are talking about? Choose to fight a pointless fight, risking his fucking future for a bus seat? A "choice" he was forced to make because the douchebag was threatening him to make a decision. And even if he choosed to stand his ground and defend his place, now what? To fight you had to STAND UP, because the clearly older and bigger guy would surely not let him continue to sit. Now both are dead.

@mismarca I'd love to just sit here and complain about the pure, unfiltered angst in this chapter, but your comment takes the cake for the dumbest thing I've seen this week. I know that you're probably one of many on this site who never sees the light of day, but recording someone as they die in front of you (not to mention laughing) is the furthest thing from normal. A few exceptions that go viral on the internet don't make it the norm. And holy shit, "blaming him for your own action" is the absolute worst way to interpret something like this. This is like saying it's a girl's fault she got raped if she says yes when threatened with a knife.

You mean uploading it to the internet right? Recording and then uploading it to the internet is another step lol. If It's recording alone I think there are tons of people doing this kind of shit. Recording a bullying, rape, fights, hurting an animal and gun shooting shit like this but it's never uploaded to the internet so people doesn't aware about it... sadly this is the reality bruh... it can be happen everywhere at any time. Smartphone are easily accessible now days. Dude... stop comparing into shit that doesn't involve with the chapter lol... Nobody in there threat to rape this MC with a knife in the bus. Certain situation have certain weight to it. I know you want to use an example but comparing to a girl that got rape while threatened with a knife against a dude give up his bus seat is just too much 😒. This is not a life threat situation to begin with. The blond fucker ain't there to kill him. He died because of the accident caused by the bus driver. If the bus went smoothly he will just stand up in there until he arrive to his desired station. He still doesn't like that fucker but not to the point of cursing him lol. I know that this dude is bleeding and dying so he want to blame somebody but I would rather have him to consider his past action more. Something like "I shouldn't have give up on the bus seat, I should have tried to retaliate and brave enough to say NO and If there is a next life, I should handle this type of fucker more physically or something", this kind of regret attitude. Just like I said, the author just wanted this generic blame game for MC skill "Evil Eye" to trigger.

@mismarca So you think it's more normal to record someone dying in public for your personal enjoyment than it is for someone to do it for internet fame. Holy shit. The comparison with the knife is analogous to what you're saying, whether you like it or not. The whole point of a comparison is to use a different situation to illustrate the same thought process. You're blaming someone for taking the better of two bad options instead of blaming the person who forced them into an awful dilemma. The blonde guy could have killed him if he refused to give up his seat. People get killed for far less in the slums. We also don't know whether it's the bus driver's fault that it crashed. The only thing we know is that the protagonist was threatened into a more dangerous position which ended up getting him killed.

He has nothing to consider with his past actions. He made the right choice, and I fucking guarantee you would make the same one every time. 10 minutes of pride is not worth a beating, and the chances of the bus crashing are low. It's like betting high on a flush and getting beat by four of a kind. It's statistically the right bet to make, even though the odds can go against you.

Let's just take a moment to appreciate an unconventional and novel first chapter. The plot, though simplified, appears logically sound and intelligent for an isekai. I wish I had the will to properly learn to read the Japanese LN!

I also really like how Kirei Cake translated this. It feels natural to read.

I am satisfied with what happened in this chapter. Some particular comments below are hotheaded and judgmental, so do be careful to not take them personally if you choose to read them.

- - -
Summarizing the entire argument below:

First, readers should not use the comment section to bully others. In the manga the villain is clear to see, but judging real people and their comments in the same way you judge manga villains is a no-no. Sorry for sounding arrogant, but I feel like I need to say it clearly. @mismarca 's main point is that the protagonist is mistakenly blaming the yankee for his own death, and the yankee is not truly responsible for the protagonist's death. This point is not wrong - this blaming action is implied when the protag "glared at [the yankee] with all the curses [regret, anger, killing intent] in the world". Logically, the yankee did not kill the protagonist, and so the argument is logical.

As @mommunism says, the chances of the bus crashing are low and so the decision to not fight for the seat makes sense. This is exactly why blaming the yankee for dying is illogical - the yankee forcing him to give up his seat was not with the goal of having the protag die. This supports mismarca's initial argument and thus this particular argument should be over because you both seem to be in agreement about this particular thought.

I see some other arguments stemming from this as nonsense that is a result of not understanding what another user is trying to convey and accusing people based on incorrect assumptions. Don't misunderstand - I am acknowledging the value of debate but I also don't think saying things that are intended to offend others is considered debating, not to mention not even bothering trying to clarify what the opposition is truly trying to say. At least, that's what I understand from reading these comments.

@SturgeonsRevelation You're oversimplifying the argument. First of all, it's not just about blaming the yankee for the protagonist's death. It's about blaming him for all his actions. Taking the seat, threatening violence, and recording the death are all individually awful. He deserves the full blame for all of these. Mismarca dismisses these as normal and blames both the bus driver and the MC for the death, so even strictly regarding that, we don't agree at all, and if you honestly see it that way you're clearly the one who doesn't understand what's being said. Mismarca thinks bad results make a decision bad.

As for the yankee's blame for the death, he put the MC in a more dangerous situation for no reason at all. There was plenty of room for two people on the bench. He is the only person that we know for a fact shares some degree of blame for the death. The main character's choice was the less dangerous option, while the yankee's choice explicitly made the situation more dangerous, by offering two choices that had potential the harm the MC. If I leave a baby by an unattended pool for 10 minutes, they probably won't die, but I would be at fault if they did. And for the record, I don't care if you think judging people is a "no-no." Don't waste your breath on a lecture.

No matter what anyone says, the thug is a big piece of garbage, regardless of MC's decision, recording instead of going and trying to help(albeit useless) the person that thanks to your antics was made to stand up and die basically.
I hope we somehow see this piece of garbage suffer a worse fate.

Victim Girls is nuts!
Yeah whatever. I don't give a fuck if your name is Anira or Anal.
🤣

I would like to see @mismarca in the same situation as MC. Yankee filming his death and laughing while doing so. Then mismarca is only thinking "hm I guess it's all my fault. Can't be helped. Yankee did nothing wrong, I just made the wrong choice. Let's hope the time gets rewinded then I won't give my seat to the Yankee! Yeah!".

haha, let me explain how reality work. First of all I would be fucking dead when the glass pierce through my neck and my body. I wouldn't able to give a fuck on my surrounding for fuck sake. I don't know much on the medical term for it, but try google "Hypovolemic Shock", it should give you the symptoms for it. You can record me all the fuck you want to be honest, it doesn't mean shit to me as I'm busy dying. I'm not saying that the fucker didn't do anything wrong, what I'm trying to say is to solely blame on the fucker is too narcissist/selfish. It's like you think that the world is spinning around you. It was an accident. I can imagine that you want to blame that fucker, but to put all your killing intent, anger, regret and glare him on "All curses in the world" is too much for me. This MC just glare the fucker like he is about to create "Angra Mainyu" using that fucker.

Lmao what. This chad dick of a dude took a seat from someone else, so he gets blamed for that guy dying later in a crash? Such a typically Japanese frustration.

Thankfully we might see some spade-wielding combat soon. I just watched a movie about WWI where the soldiers went at each other with their spades, so that's probably a +1 to realism.
