i kinda see it too. i think the author is switching up their art style just a tiny bit. i’m not sure if it looks weirder or better but im noticing from the kiss scene ayas face was more thinner and the lines were clumsier (not sure how to describe it)Is it just me or is the art a bit off in this chapter?
this. i feel like the author, sumiko arai, is going wayy too fast with the things that we WANT to see. i feel like she’s doing short stories with them like little comic strips of “we came out!” and no real development. or maybe sumiko is in an art block and in that case i’ll give her the benefit of the doubt. but i totally agree, also with the sudden change of mitsukis appearance, (i don’t really love it) it feels sorta rocky. don’t get me wrong i absolutely adore this series but it seems we are just reading a magazine with the occasional comic strips.Don’t get me wrong, I loveeee this series. But I feel like we went from such it being such a slow burner to it being accelerated. I wanted to see the actual start of their relationship and coming out to people as a couple and them learning how to be in it all. Maybe we’ll get this but idk

I get what you mean. I don’t think it’s necessarily “accelerating”, it’s more “avoidance”. Instead of actually showing us the relationship itself, we seem to be looking at it from the periphery, everyone’s reactions to it. It might just be a matter of the good ol’ “what does us dating actually look like?” trope. Aya’s probably gonna hit the oblivious one over the head and ask for a “real” date soon enough, instead of just “what we were but more hand holding and blushes”.Don’t get me wrong, I loveeee this series.
