Shu-chan was the one with Narita and Aya, hanging out at the bar during the "Four Forms of Aya" chapter, two chapters ago. She's the one who also witnessed Mitsuki picking up drunk Aya; she had a reaction then too. Her, Aya and Narita seem like the new trio and this setup of these last few chapters looks intentional and connected.
This was fun. It connects to the first chapter of the time skip and "introduces" a "new" character. I think it ties things together and slows things down while promising a new arc for at least this person. The first couple time skip chapters were jumping around to set the stage while having a little fun catching up--we know they live together, where they work, who they now know etc.
Now it seems like we're settling into something. Really interested in what direction we go with Shu-chan; she seems to have a crush that makes her uncomfortable for an unknown reason. I'm brimming with possibilities.
