I don't of course. But how "Konuşamadılar" (which apparently means "they could not speak" in Turkish) is even remotely connected to the original is beyond me. For me, it means you rewrote the story. While it's true that the uncle and Kanna "could not speak", the actual sentence from Sumiko intended to be humorous. Yours is just stating the obvious.
I don't particularly care about other languages translations of course, so you do what you want, but I do think inventing stuff the author never put in there is bad form for a translator and you're doing a disservice to your readers.
