It’s sweet overall, but I do sometimes get annoyed with the “Guy in a GL who’s shipping them together and is all smug when they start dating”, but Narita is SUCH a good subversion of that trope.

He couldn’t care less about what’s going on between the girls. He has no desire or attraction in their direction at all. He’s just a fan of music and is happy to tag along, and he’ll help them along if the opportunity presents itself.

Don’t be a weirdo. Be like Narita.

That's because those characters are just there as a representation of fetishization of the gays (mostly by straight people like girls with BL and guys with GL), whereas Narita is just being a wingman here.
