so chi cheng's ex left him because he was working an unstable job, and now she wants to create a company..? please correct me if I'm wrong. I feel like I forgot a lot of details
I’m the translator for this series so I can’t ensure I don’t spoil anything with my explanation.
His ex left him because she felt like she couldn’t rely on him. Therefore, she felt like she needed to become financially independent and pushed him on the background when she needed to make a decision between chi cheng and her job.
She pushed herself too hard as well, because she would try to accommodate him when he was working and he couldn’t do the same for her.
That’s why she says she became an adult (understanding the meaning of working, that it meant she couldn’t do everything she wanted too) while he onesidedly demanded her to focus on him when he wanted her to. (Much like when they were teens)
It wasn’t that they didn’t love each other. But for Chi Cheng, love should suffice and surpass everything while for Lin Yin, reality is harsh and needed them to work with it to make it work.
I’m not sure if My explanation is good lol.
Lin Yin wants stability emotionally and financially. Chi Cheng couldn’t ensure either and was trying to slow her down in her own quest for financial stability.
Just binged all the chapters in a few hours. What A. Ride. I gotta say, I feel like both of the exes could disappear from the story now and nothing would really be affected. Lin got her path to potentially opening her own company and Zhuang quit his job, it just feels like a natural end to their character arcs and there's not really anything left to be told outside of pointless drama for pointless drama sake.
Hell of a story. Many thanks to y'all for doing this series, @Laiyah88
