@alert001 No,it is indeed a holy spear, just not a Christian holy. The Spear of Longinus is believed to be the same as the spear of Lugh, one of the four treasures who were brought by the Tuatha Dé Danann to Ireland. This spear in special has a long story in which it is believed that this spear would bring certain victory to anyone who wielded it. Anyway,the theory is that this spear was supposedly obtained by Rome during it's expansion, and later used by a soldier named Longinus to stab Jesus. Yes, Longinus is the Soldier's name. Hence why it's named as Longinus Spear(which would be Longinus's Spear) .
