He didn't want the first sum of money so the girls ruled him out when they raid the Yakuza HQ, they saw no point in calling him with him refusing money.
So this actually happened before yakuza but Lela is also from the other world. She was a kid born from a vampire father and winged race mother, so she is half of each and also has a brother. Her story is sad but tldr is that she dies and is transferred to hero's world years 10 years before he comes back. Spoiler for sadness.
Her father ends up being killed by a vampire hunter. Her mother takes her and her twin to stay with family but doesn't tell them that they are half vampire. They find out later and are angry. Mother once again runs away with children and goes to a brothel to work. She ends up dying there to an std. Twins are chased out of place and into mountains where they are captured by bandits.
Bandits basically want to sell one but don't have the food for both. So they put them together with a dog/wolf that is hungry and basically whichever lives (if one does) will be sold. The twin brother asks Ariel(Lela) if she wants to live, even now. She says yes and he sacrifices himself to feed himself to the wolf and kills it while it is distracting eating part of him. Weeks later the hero finds the place and gets rid of the bandits and finds Ariel. They figure she is half vampire and half human and Ariel doesn't correct. They mention how a crazy vampire hunter is around and will do anything to kill them, among other problems. They take her anyways.
Some more travel time with all them together, Ariel is actually happy. Then sometime later after killing a monster the hero(MC) is pierced by the vampire hunter and is fatally wounded. The mc with a skill manages to live and kill the vampire hunter before goes into a state of on deaths door. The priestess princess can only continue to keep him there and there only hope is to get a potion from the wringed race people but they can't really do that without the hero because of their attitude with people.
This is where Ariel reveals that she is actually half winged race and that she can get the potion. She races and through pain managed to get to the waters that are used as a potion, though she is caught doing. They had placed a curse on her the first time she fled and it activated the moment she came back into the winged race area. She will die soon anyways, so they allow her to take the potion to the hero on a condition. Her name Ariel is the name of the founder of the winged people and they don't want her to use ever again (even though she is dying anyways).
She agrees and flys back down to the MC and gives the potion to him and saves him. Shortly after she begins to fade away and there isn't anything the party can do to stop it. MC crys some as she die.
Ariel says she wants to marry nini and he says of course. He also says that she was a slave in this life so in the next life she can be selfish in the next and can treat others like slaves. Finally she dies moments later.
Then shortly after that she is transferred/summoned to a church in finland on MC's original world though about 10 years before he was to come back. The people there ask her name and remembering the promise she made, she keeps it and renames herself Lela. She grows up and gets a lot of education and joins the vatican/dominion. She didn't recognize the hero right away because she had forgotten some and she couldn't feel his power. Once she saw the power he used to kill the ninetails she remembered that that was an ability only heros could use.
And that is her origin
