@stiegele @kazamakj I think it's so he won't lose track of it later on for reattachment (if that's a thing in the era). He could of left it there but who know what could of happened like an animal/infection etc. I might be over thinking it but it's my guess on why he bit (really holding his arm in place while the other is used in the fight.) his arm.
